Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:57 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at North SR 13 and East South Barbee Drive, North Webster. Drivers: Glenn A. Burkett, 50, East South Barbee Drive, Pierceton, and Worth A. Packer, East Backwater Road, North Webster. Packer drove into Burkett’s vehicle’s path. Damage up to $50,000.
7:25 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at East CR 1200S, west of South SR 13, Sidney. Driver: Shaun E. Singleton, 25, North CR 200E, North Manchester. Singleton lost control of his vehicle, flipping in onto the roof. Damage up to $10,000. Singleton refused EMS stating he was OK.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:09 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 501 W. Railroad Avenue, Syracuse. Driver: Nicole Coburn, 34, East Bowser Road, Syracuse. Coburn hit a parked vehicle while making a left turn. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:06 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 436 CR 250N, Warsaw. Driver: Nicholas C. Reynolds, 18, East SR 14, Rochester. Reynolds was looking at cars on a car lot and hit a concrete light pole. Damage up to $2,500. Reynolds’ vehicle had to be towed from the scene because it had substantial suspension damage.
3:07 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: James A. Guffey, 73, East Washington Street, Pierceton, and Katelynn J. Gaff, 17, East Old Road 30, Pierceton. Guffey was was making a left turn at the intersection of Commerce drive and stated he did not see Gaff and struck her vehicle on the driver’s side front corner. Damage up to $2,500.
8:06 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Lake City Highway, east of CR 250E, Warsaw. Drivers: Ruth E. Baker, 75, Gorwth Avenue, Fort Wayne, and Ricardo A. Melendez, 36, Eagle Crest Trail, Fort Wayne. Baker’s vehicle rear-ended Melendez’s. Damage up to $10,000. Both drivers were checked by EMS, but declined further treatment at the scene.
