LAPORTE – The NorthWood girls golf team finished seventh in the New Prairie Invitational Tuesday.

The Panthers finished with a team total of 362 in the 14-team field played at Legacy Hills.

Chesterton won the team title with a 314. Lake Central was runner-up at 322, followed by Valparaiso (336), Penn (338), Crown Point (356), LaPorte (358) and NorthWood (362). Bremen was eighth at 379, followed by Glenn (411), Michigan City (436), New Prairie (457), South Bend Adams (476), Mishawaka (490), South Bend Clay (518) and South Central (600).

Summer Stillson led the way for the Panthers with a round of 80 over the par 72 layout.

Mackenzie Weaver shot an 85 for NorthWood with Abby Slabaugh carding a 94. Hope Cripe finished with a 103 and Alaina Benjamin a 104.

NorthWood will return to action versus Fairfield on Aug. 16 at Meadow Valley in Middlebury.
