Valley Girls Golf: Vikings Go 1-1 In Opener
ROCHESTER – The Tippecanoe Valley girls golf team opened its season Monday by going 1-1.
The host Vikings shot a 237 in a three-way match contested at the Round Barn Golf Course. Pioneer posted a team total of 222 to win the opener, while Caston shot 253.
Victoria Biddle led the way for the Vikings with a 53.
Blake McBrier shot 58 for Valley, while Makayla Sandbakken finished with a 62. Jade VanMeter shot a 64 and Jordan Krotke a 75 for the Vikings.
Valley was the only team to post a junior varsity score, finishing with a 294. Brianna McBrier led the JV Vikings with a 65. Bethany Johnson shot a 66, while Lexi Cumberland had a 70 and Kelsey Shafer a 93.
The Vikings return to action today by hosting Peru and Northwestern back at Round Barn.
