Enrollment Open For Continuing Education Classes
SYRACUSE — Registrations are being accepted through Saturday, Sept. 3, for fall 2016 continuing education classes at Wawasee High School. Fall classes will begin the week of Sept. 6.
Wawasee offers a variety of classes for non-credit and also offers instruction for preparation to pass the HSE/GED test to attain a high school diploma.
Anyone wishing to register for a class may send registration fee along with name, address and phone number to the Career/Technical and Continuing Education Office at Wawasee High School, 1 Warrior Path, Building 1, Syracuse IN 46567. If you have questions please call (574) 457-3147, extension 2209 or come to door 1 at the high school any school day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Offerings for the fall are:
• GED, no fee, 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Swimming, levels one to four, $45, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 13-29 for nine classes — infant (6 months to 2 years), 5:30 to 6 p.m. or 6 to 6:30 p.m.; levels one to three 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.; levels one, two and four 7:15 to 8 p.m. (indicate age, time and level of child swimmer)
• Water exercise, $40, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Oct. 4 to Nov. 10, 12 classes
• Amazing sandwiches for any occasion, $40, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 4-25, four classes
• “Pound” rockout workout, $40, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 13-29, six classes
