WINONA LAKE – The Lakeland Christian Academy volleyball team opened its season with a 3-0 loss to Jimtown Monday night.

The visiting Jimmies topped the Cougars 25-11, 25-21, 25-8 in the season-opener for both squads.

Kyla Kohler had four kills and nine digs to lead the way for LCA.

Cami Dahms had four kills and four digs and Carlie Wise registered three aces for the Cougars. Sydney Hobbs had three digs and eight assists and Heather Plastow six digs. Baylee Wiley had seven digs and Jessica Slone an ace and a dig.

LCA (0-1) returns to action tonight (Aug. 16) with a home match versus Whitko. The Cougars will then play Saturday in the West Noble Invitational.
