Library Offers New Adult And Teen Programs For September
WARSAW — This following is a listing of the new adult and teen programs for September at the Warsaw Community Public Library.
“Off the Shelf Reading Group” 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1. Discussing “Chasing Fireflies” by Charles Martin.
“Friends of the Warsaw Community Public Library” 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6.
“Computer Clinic” 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 and 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28. Individuals can get one-on-one help with computer and technology needs and may bring own devices for questions.
“Drop in Zone” 3:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7. Drop in to play video games, board games, watch a movie and enjoy snacks. Grades six through 12 only.
“Lake City Piecemakers Quilt Club” 9:15-12:15 a.m Friday, Sept. 9.
“Chess Club” Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 10. Beginners and experts welcome. Patrons are encourage to bring chess sets.
“Cookbook Club” 10-11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12. Different breakfast foods rather than the usual cereal and eggs.
“The Knit and Purl Club” 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12. Beginners and experts welcome. Patrons are welcome to projects. Help will be available.
“Writers Club” 6:30-7:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12. Topics will be school, your hero, your favorite author or heirloom tomatoes.
“Minecraft” 12-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 and at 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. Play single player or multiplayer mode with other Minecraft gamers. Grades six through 12 only can register.
“Hooked on Crochet: Beginners Class” 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20. Learn how to make a dish rag. Bring one small ball (two and half to three ounces) worsted weight yarn & size H crochet hook. All others come and bring your projects to work on. Only new people need to register.
“Card Making Class” 6-7:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26. Make three Cards for $8 with Faith Ketterer, Stampin Up demonstrator. Register at the Reference Desk with $4 non-refundable cash deposit. An additional $4 is due at time of class. Must register by September 24.
“Evening Book Club” 6:30-7:30 p.m.Tuesday, Sept. 27.
