Valley Golf: Vikings 12th At Rochester Invite
ROCHESTER – The Tippecanoe Valley girls golf team had a strong showing Saturday in the Rochester Invitational.
The Vikings shot a team total of 438 in the event, which was the program’s best 18-hole team score in over seven years.
Victoria Biddle fired a round of 91 to lead the way for coach Darren Parker’s team.
Makayla Sandbakken shot a 109 and Blake McBrier a 113 for the Vikings. Jordan Krotke had a 125 and Bethany Johnson a 142 for Valley.
Penn claimed the team title in the 15-team tournament by shooting 341. Plymouth was runner-up with a 383.
Valley returns to action on Wednesday versus Triton and Bremen at Rozella Ford in Warsaw.
