Panther Golfers 17th In HOF Classic
GREENSBURG – The NorthWood girls golf team took part in the talent-laden field Saturday of the Hall of Fame Classic.
The Panthers finished in 17th place in the 20-team field for the event staged at the Greensburg Country Club.
NorthWood, which was making its third appearance in the HOF Tournament, shot 365 on the day.
Westfield, ranked No. 1 in the coaches poll, won the team title by shooting 318. No. 5 Columbus North was runner-up with a 323.
Summer Stillson fired a round of 83 to lead the way for the Panthers. She finished tied for 24th in the individual standings.
Mackenzie Weaver shot an 85 and Abby Slabaugh a 95 for NorthWood. Alaina Benjamin and Madison Richner each finished with a 102.
Cailyn Henderson of Westfield earned medalist honors with an even part total of 70.
NorthWood, which sits at 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference, will host Wawasee and Northridge in league play on Tuesday evening at McCormick Creek in Nappanee.
