SYRACUSE — Kosciusko County Area Planning Office has received complaints about a home based business, The Property Company LLC, which is operating from a large pole barn on CR 1200N near the Woodland Acres subdivision just outside of Syracuse.

A petition for the business to operate in a residential area was approved by the Kosciusko County Board of Zoning Appeals during its December 2015 meeting. The petition was originally considered at the November 2015 meeting but was tabled until December due to several remonstrators against the petition.

Matt Sandy, assistant planning director for the county, said the planning office has received complaints periodically since the petition was approved and is investigating those complaints.
