Grace College to Assist Former ITT Tech Students
WINONA LAKE — Grace College announced today that it will hold three information meetings for displaced ITT Tech students at its Indianapolis North location, 9302 N. Meridian St., to discuss transfer of credits and advise them on applicable programs at Grace. Information meetings will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 14 at 12 noon. Grace also announced it will offer two tuition-free courses to former ITT students during the current fall semester to jumpstart their continuing education.
Cindy Sisson, vice president of enrollment management and marketing at Grace College, explains that Grace’s past policy for accepting ITT credits will continue. “Just as in the past, Grace will accept up to 75 ITT credits for GOAL (Grace Opportunities for Adult Learners) and students can finish their bachelor’s degree in as little as 16 months,” she said. GOAL is a degree-completion program offered in Indianapolis, Winona Lake and fully online. Bachelor’s degrees available through GOAL include management, human services and business administration.
“We hope that by offering ITT students two free residential courses this fall, they will experience very little interruption in their education and minimize any hardship caused by recent events,” Sisson said. GOAL classes are specially designed for adult students who need to balance full-time life responsibilities while pursuing higher education. “Students can choose a residential or online degree program – whichever suits their needs and preferences. We also offer financial aid to qualified students,” Sisson added.
Displaced ITT students may also transfer credits to Grace’s main campus in Winona Lake and pursue one of more than 70 bachelor’s degrees. The number of transferable credits will be determined by the chosen program, but up to 60 credits are eligible for transfer.
