Warsaw Man Arrested for Methamphetamine
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after being involved in a fight.
Jeffrey Devon Konkle, 43, 1108 Fisher Avenue, Warsaw, was arrested Sept. 14 and is being charged with possession of methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances for committing the offence in the presence of a child, level 5 felony; possession of a narcotic with enhancing circumstances for committing the offence in the presence of a child, level 5 felony; possession of a syringe, level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, class C misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause the Warsaw Police Department responded to a physical fight on Sept. 14. Officers arrived to see a male, Konkle, holding a small child and a female walking southbound. The female advised that they were verbally arguing and when she went to walk away Konkle grabbed her non-aggressively by the waist.
Officers were advised by dispatch that Konkle was known to carry a knife. Officers requested Konkle put the child down and conducted a pat down. In Konkle’s cargo pocket officers found a syringe and a silver container Konkle admitted contained methamphetamine.
At the jail, officers searched Konkle and found two small baggies containing a brown rock-like substance that tested positive for heroin, a schedule I narcotic.
Konkle stated he had forgotten about the heroin and turned it over once he remembered.
Konkle is being held at Kosciusko County Jail with a bond of $5,250 and no bond.
