Chad D. Thompson
Chad D. Thompson, 42, Albion, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident in Oakland County, Mich.
He was born July 7, 1974 the son of Robert and Diane (Rumsyre) Thompson in Columbia City. On Nov. 25, 2000 he married Tabitha Stump in Cromwell; she survives.
Also surviving are his children: Dakota Thompson, Caleb Thompson, Emily Thompson, all of Ligonier; and Tyler Thompson, Huntertown; siblings: Robert Thompson Jr., North Dakota and Amber (Matthew) Joley, Fort Wayne; along with two nieces, and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Chad graduated from Columbia City High School in 1992. He loved to hunt, fish, and cheer on West Noble Sports. Chad was very proud of his children and supported them in all they did. He was a commercial truck driver and worked for E & S Services of Fort Wayne.
A funeral service in Chad’s honor will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 26, at Stones Hill Community Church, 151 Stones Hill Road; Ligonier, IN 46767. Minister and family friend, Dave Hilbish will officiate. Burial will follow at Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767.
