OMAHA, NEB. — A Nebraska teen is a new mom, much to her own surprise.

18-year-old Tylisha Allmon says she left school early last week with stomach and back pain.

She thought she might have been sick, but it turns out she was seven months pregnant.

Later in the day, she gave birth to a five-pound baby boy.

Doctors estimate Zaylen Armani Allmon was born at about 34 weeks.

Zaylen is still in the NICU, but family expects to take him home later this week.

“It wasn’t like horrible pain to where I couldn’t bear it, so you know, I just thought it was something like back pain or something, and then here he comes,” Tylisha said.
