WINONA LAKE – The Lakeland Christian Academy volleyball team dropped a 3-1 final to Southside Michiana Athletic Club Tuesday night.

SMAC defeated the host Cougars 25-13, 25-13, 18-25, 25-15 in the varsity match.

Cami Dahms had a big match to lead the way for LCA. Dahms finished with five kills, 10 digs, 16 assists and an ace for the home team.

Carlie Wise had four kills and two digs and Heather Plastow 23 digs for the Cougars. Sydney Hobbs had two aces to go with three kills, three digs, seven assists and a block.

Kyle Kohler totaled 11 kills and 14 digs to go with an ace for LCA. Baylee Wiley had an ace and three digs and Morgan Ziebarth a kill and three digs. Natalie Plastow had an ace and two digs, Kaitlyn Binegar a dig and Jessica Slone five kills and four digs.

SMAC won the junior varsity match 25-16, 25-16.

LCA plays at Elkhart Christian Academy on Thursday night.
