Car Wash Raises Hurricane Relief Funds
WARSAW — On Thursday, Oct. 13, Clearwater Car Wash partnered with World Compassion Network to raise funds for Hurricane Matthew relief.
Every month, Clearwater Car Wash on Husky Trail, Warsaw, hosts a Clearwater Cares Day to raise funds for various non-profits. For these events, Clearwater and a non-profit chosen for the month agree on a given day and $2 of every car wash benefits the non-profit.
This month Clearwater will be hosting two Clearwater Cares Days. The originally planned partnership this month is with the Baker Youth Club, who will still be benefitted on Oct. 20, but after Hurricane Matthew devastated Haiti and Florida, Clearwater partnered with World Compassion Network and planned the second event.
“We already had Baker Youth Club arranged,” says CEO Brian Catron, “but the country was really hurting after Hurricane Matthew and we felt the need to help.”
Clearwater saw 377 cars pass through on Thursday, raising $754 for hurricane relief through World Compassion Network.
The World Compassion Network is a disaster relief organization out of Warsaw that was founded in 2002. They are committed to providing disaster relief by partnering with churches and other relief organizations.
Clearwater Cares Day past partners have included Feed My Starving Children, Right to Life, Spanish World Missions and others. For more information you can find Clearwater Car Wash on Facebook.
