Prater Charged with Dealing Heroin
CLAYPOOL — A Claypool man is being charged after selling heroin in Sidney.
Terry Dean Prater, 42, 9464 S. SR 13, Claypool, is being charged with count one dealing in a narcotic more than one gram, a level 4 felony, and count two possession of a narcotic, a level 6 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on June 29, Prater met with an individual at the old Sidney School to sell them heroin in exchange for $200.
Prater gave the individual a clear plastic bag containing a “brownish” substance. When officers field tested the substance it tested positive for heroin, a schedule I narcotic drug, and weighed one and nine tenths grams.
Terry Dean Prater is being held the Kosciusko County Jail with a $15,250 surety and cash bond for dealing more than one gram of narcotics.
