Michael Lynn Losher III, 35, 607 W. Brooklyn St., Syracuse, is being charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; intimidation, a level 6 felony; and resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor.
On Oct. 18, an officer with the Syracuse Police Department responded to a domestic battery. The officer spoke with the victim who advised that they had gotten into an argument about spanking their child. Losher then grabbed her by the hair, slammed her head into the wall and spanked her in front of the child.
Losher told the victim to have her dad bring his gun over to shoot him because he was going to choke her to death. Losher then kicked the victim in the back, to the point that she felt like she could not breath, and slammed her head into the doorway. The victim told Losher that she had called the police and he replied that he would “stomp” her until they arrived.
When the officer arrived Losher was not there but while talking to the victim Losher drove into the driveway. The officer approached the vehicle and Losher exited the vehicle with his hand in his pocket. Losher stated that he was only there to get his paint gun and leave.
The officer attempted to search and place handcuffs on Losher but he resisted. Losher screamed, “B****, you got it coming,” and “You taking me to jail for beating her, I’m going to beat her. Take these cuffs off and you can watch me beat her.”
Losher admitted that he had spanked the child and the victim. He also admitted to tackling the victim in order to get a phone away from her.
Losher was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 18 with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
