Family Fun Cookout October 24
Magic Don’s “Celebrate Indiana” show will be presented at Milford Public Library 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24. He will share his unique perspective about his home state (he’s visited all 92 counties) with Milford’s community. This is free to anyone in the public!
His “Puzzle Me” magic trick highlights Indiana’s history and geography. The “Indiana Facts and Firsts” game show requires audienceparticipation. Indiana’s symbols, props and pictures in the “Mini Museum” add to his stories and magic tricks. The show will last for about 45 minutes. The program begins in the library meeting room at 6pm and after the program, we will have hot dogs, chips and a drink.
Lapsit
Lapsit, a storytelling session for infants and children up to 36 months, concludes with Miss Kaitlyn this week. This is the last Tuesday she will read stories and sing songs about how “Mice Are Nice.” Lapsit introduces your little one to literature by using stories and songs to create recognition between words and their meanings. Lapsit lasts about 20 minutes. Sessions are at 10:45 am and 1:30 pm.
Lunar Adventures Story Time
Join Ms. Julie to learn about Lunar Adventures at Fall Preschool Story Time this week. Children will listen to stories, create a craft, and learn all about space. Pretend to visit the moon and search for moon rocks. Enjoy the drink of all astronauts….Tang! Fly away with Ms. Julie and take a lunar adventure! Story Time is at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays and at 7 p.m. Thursdays. Register at the children’s circulation desk or call 574-658-4312.
Lights Out at the Library: “Happy Hoosier Halloween”
Come to Milford Public Library for the twelve annual Lights Out at the Library, our most popular program of the year! We hope to set a new attendance record this year, so bring the whole family! Join us in celebrating Indiana’s 200th birthday! See the portrayal of many famous Hoosiers, like Johnny Appleseed and Papa John, as you take the 15 minute tour through the library. Line up to start the tour at the Main Street doors. At the end of the tour, children will receive their treat! Free fun for the whole family!
