Grace Golf: Marshall Strong At NCCAA Championships
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Freshman Anna Marshall represented Grace’s women’s golf team at the 2016 NCCAA National Championships in Florida this week.
Marshall placed in the top half of the event, finishing in 23rd place to set a program record for highest finish.
Marshall was consistent across the three-day event. Her three rounds never varied more than three strokes with a scoreline of 88-85-87.
She had her lone birdie of the tournament on Monday on a par-four 390-yard hole.
Tuesday was her best outing, despite not having a birdie. Marshall had eight pars in the 18-hole round to finish with an 85.
Marshall joins Lauren Keiser as the first two Lady Lancers to compete at a national championship. Keiser finished 32nd last year at NCCAA Nationals.
The championship event officially ends the fall season for Grace. The Lady Lancers will continue play in the spring with an eye toward a strong finish at the Crossroads League Championships.
