UPDATE: Truck Crashes Into Bank Entrance
UPDATE: William F. Lambert, 58, EMS D22D Lane, Syracuse, was not injured in a one-vehicle accident. The accident occurred at 4:13 p.m. at Interra Credit Union, Syracuse.
Syracuse Police report Lambert was parking his truck in the bank’s parking lot when his foot slipped off the brake pedal and fell onto the gas pedal. The vehicle then lunged through the first door of the building before coming to a stop.
Damage was estimated up to $25,000.
SYRACUSE — No one was injured when a Chevrolet truck crashed through the entrance at Interra Credit Union, 1401 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. The accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 26.
An initial report is the foot of the male driver slipped, hitting the gas pedal and causing the truck to go through the outer entrance door to the bank. The truck stopped before hitting an interior door. Structural damage may have occurred to the entrance area. The drive-through area remains open to the bank’s customers.
