Jon A. McGriff, 72, Argos passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 at his home.

Jon was born March 19, 1944 in Argos to Eugene Dale and Florence E. (Keyser) McGriff. He was a lifelong resident of the Marshall county area and a graduate of Argos high school. Jon proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Jon served his community as a volunteer fireman and Union North EMS.  He retired from Bendix in South Bend.

Jon married the former Ramona J. “Mona” Grosvenor on July 3, 1996; she preceded him in passing on Jan. 12, 2014.

Jon is survived by his children, Robin and Tod Wirebaugh, Jason McGriff; step-children, Dixie and Bob Warner; and Sam and Michelle Golden; his brother, Richard D. and Patricia McGriff of Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.

Jon is preceded in passing by his parents and wife, Mona.

The Van Gilder Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of the arrangements. According to Jon’s wishes there will be no services at this time.
