Bethel Basketball: Kindig, Yeo Pace Pilots To Win
GOSHEN – Nick Kindig turned in a stellar effort to pace Bethel College to a win Friday night in the Maple City Hoopfest at Goshen College.
The former Tippecanoe Valley High School standout scored 20 points as the Pilots topped Ohio Christian University 74-61 in the two-day event.
Kindig, a senior guard for Bethel, also had nine rebounds and five assists in just his second starting assignment.
Senior Clay Yeo, a former star at Triton High School, had 17 points and six rebounds for the Pilots.
Ryan Wassink added 12 points as Bethel moved to 2-0 on the season.
Marquis Jackson led the way for Ohio Christian with 26 points.
Bethel plays Lourdes university (Ohio) Saturday at 1 p.m. at Goshen College. Host Goshen College defeated Lourdes 74-58 Friday night. The hosts play Ohio Christian Saturday at 3 p.m.
