Community Shows Support For Family Of Murdered Child
WARSAW — After the tragic murder of two-year old Adalin Stamper, the Warsaw community is coming together to help pay for funeral expenses and show support.
Adalin was found murdered on Friday, Nov. 11 allegedly by her mother’s boyfriend, Christopher Grimmett. Over the weekend two different ways to help the grieving family emerged on social media.
A GoFundMe Account has been set up by a close family friend to help raise money for funeral expenses. In just two days, the account has raised $9,550 of the $10,000 goal and has been shared over 2,000 times on social media. Any money that is leftover after funeral expenses are paid will go to benefit Arabella, Adalin’s sister.
The Warsaw American Legion Post #49 is also planning a benefit for Adalin’s mother, Katie. The benefit will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3.
A Texas Hold ‘Em tournament will begin at 10 a.m. and a silent auction will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. A spaghetti supper will take place from 5 to 7 p.m.
Any donations, including those for the silent auction can be made at the legion, 301 N Buffalo St, Warsaw.
