Winona Lake Announces Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony
WINONA LAKE — The Village at Winona, in Winona Lake, announces its Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony to kick off the Christmas season. The ceremony and many family-friendly activities will take place from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, next to Eagle Creek/Orthocity BBQ.
The Village at Winona and Toys for Tots have partnered for this event to collect toy donations, and asks that visitors bring a new and unwrapped toy to spread the holiday spirit.
The schedule of activities is as follows:
All-day events, 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Toy donations accepted for Toys for Tots
- Train rides for all ages
2 to 6:30 p.m.
- Demonstrations of a rare and remarkable Stinson Player Organ by Karl Rider
4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Free cookies and hot chocolate
- Santa Claus will be on hand to hear the children’s Christmas wishes
- Christmas music performed by John Durnell
6:15 to 6:30 p.m.
- Lighting ceremony takes place with the help of the Winona Lake Fire Department and its lift truck
Everyone is invited to have a Winona Day on the shores of beautiful Winona Lake at the Village of Winona. The Village’s unique artisan shops and restaurants will be open and free parking is available throughout the Village. And please bring a toy so that others may have a joyous Christmas this year.
All shops in the Village at Winona will also serve as Toys for Tots collection sites from now through No. 26.
