WPCL to Get New Self-Checkouts and 3-D Printer
WARSAW — The Warsaw Community Public Library is looking into purchasing new self-checkouts and has filled out an order for a 3-D printer.
During the WPCL Library Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, Nov. 14, it was mentioned that the self-checkout on the main floor of the library does not take payments anymore and is a nine-year-old system. The library is looking into pricing to upgrade the units.

Board members unanimously approved to grant library staff with an extra one week’s worth of pay based on each staff member’s current salary. The extra money comes from what is left over at the end of the year in the insurance fund.
Board member Rick Paczkowski suggested in the future, the board should consider doling out an equal sum to all staff, rather than giving staff different amounts based on their salaries.
