David W. Biltz — UPDATED
David W. Biltz, 51, of Rochester, died at 11:53 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at his residence.
On June 24, 1965, David was born in Rochester to Terry and Amanda Helen Cave Biltz. Growing up he shared his childhood with two brothers, Richard and Anthony. David graduated with the Class of 1983 from Rochester High School.
David and Caryl Baker were married on July 4, 1986 in Rochester. They later divorced but remained lifelong friends. On Dec. 15, 2007, David and Debbie Sutton were married in Rochester and shared many adventures.
David worked in maintenance for the Rochester Foundry, Rochester Metal Products and Dalton of Warsaw. In his free time, he tinkered with cars and motorcycles. He was a mechanic, rebuilding and getting them back on the road.
As an avid hunter, David loved the changing of the seasons. The deer, rabbit, squirrel, turtle and frogs were his target. He enjoyed ice fishing on the beautiful waters of Lake Manitou. The pan fish was his favorite catch of the day.
Many in our area have seen David as an Elvis Tribute Artist, as he has performed in northern Indiana.
David is lovingly remembered by his wife, Debbie; a son, Justin David Biltz and companion Amanda Warner; two step children: Jessica Ybanez and Kevin Ybanez; and his father, Terry W. Biltz, all of Rochester; a brother, Anthony Biltz and wife Kim of Kewanna; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; canine companions: Mandy and Molly the red Dachshunds, and Macy the white Chihuahua.
Preceding David in death are his grandparents, mother, Helen Biltz in 2010 and brother Richard Biltz in 2015.
Pastor Martin Furrow will officiate services. Interment will be in the Athens Mt. Hope Cemetery.
