Kathleen ‘Katy’ May Goshert
Kathleen “Katy” May Goshert, 89, Warsaw, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 in St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Nov. 2, 1927 in Rochester to Jesse H. and Lulu Ione (Borden) Romig. She graduated from Warsaw High School and married Richard “Dick” R. Goshert Aug. 5, 1950 in Warsaw. They were married 58 years until his passing Jan. 30, 2009.
She previously worked at Woodies Superarket and was assistant manager of the first Dollar General Store in Warsaw and worked for REAL Services, serving meals at Retired Tigers. She loved to read suspense and mystery novels and enjoyed watching “Murder, She Wrote.” Katy liked people and enjoyed time spent eating out with her family and friends. A selfless person, she volunteered for Mobile Meals, KCH and Back to the Days of Kosciusko. She was a member of DAR and several home economic clubs. She attended Harrison Center Church and had been a member of Pleasant View Church.
She is survived by two sons: Paul (Sue) Goshert, Warsaw; Tim (Shelly) Goshert, Warsaw; five grandchildren: Sarah Goshert, Warsaw; Jennifer Goshert, Warsaw; Adam Goshert, Warsaw; Andrew (Joni) Goshert, Warsaw; Aric (Brenna) Goshert, Warsaw; three great grandchildren: Braden Goshert, Beau Goshert, Evan Goshert; a brother: Jack Romig, Warsaw, also survives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Goshert; her sister, Mary HIllery; and her parents.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Titus Funeral Home n Warsaw. A graveside service will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
