Lucille E. Kuntz Neidlinger
Lucille E. Kuntz Neidlinger, 94, Winona Lake, passed away at 1:44 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, in Grace Village with her family at her side.
Lucille was born June 17, 1922, to Howard and Nina (Anglin) Brock at Inwood. Lucy married Philip Kuntz, Jr. Jan. 1, 1942; he preceded her in death, Aug. 21, 1978. Later she married Russell Neidlinger and they moved to Plymouth, Bremen and later to Grace Village at Winona Lake. He passed away in 2005.
She spent the majority of her years in Bourbon where she and her husband operated the Kuntz Shell station in Bourbon. Lucy also worked for the Bourbon News Mirror and Print Shop. While her husband was in the service during World War II she worked at Mecks in Plymouth. She enjoyed her friends at Grace Village, traveling and the outdoors. She also enjoyed walks, she and her husband belonged to a shuffle board group in Plymouth and the wintered occasionally in Florida. Lucy was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Bremen.
Lucy is survived by her two granddaughters: Teri and Jamie Detweiler and Cari and Chris Snyder, all of Bremen; five great grandchildren: Collin and Chandler Snyder, Alissa and Makali Detweiler and Adam Hudson, all of Bremen. Also surviving is her sister Eloise Neidlinger, Winter Park, Fla.; nephews: Rex and Bill Neidlinger, both of Florida; Gregg and Becky Kuntz, Arizona; Hal and Trish Kuntz, South Bend; Jerry and Sandy Kuntz, Bourbon; her niece Becky and Dennis Kuhl, Arizona; and caretaker Judy Mugg, Winona Lake. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Philip Kuntz and Russell Neidlinger; sons: Tim and Jan; and her granddaughter, Lorissa Rigsby.
A service will be held at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main Street, Bourbon, at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2 with Rev. Dick Anderson officiating. Family will welcome friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. A Memorial service will follow at Grace Village Chapel at 3 p.m.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, Indiana.
