Triton Basketball: Lancers Find A Way
LAKEVILLE – LaVille found enough in the tank to pull out a 37-36 overtime win over Triton Wednesday night in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference matchup.
Courtney Jennings hit a three-pointer to give Triton a 36-35 lead in overtime, but LaVille hit a shot on its final possession to get the win. Jennings would finish with eight points, four rebounds and two steals.
Mallory Venom had 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal to lead the Lancers. Aryn Eash added six points, three assists and two steals.
Hannah Wanemacher added 10 points and Nicole Sechrist had six points and six rebounds in the losing effort.
Triton rolled in the JV game, winning 41-21 over LaVille. Abigail Powell led the Trojans with 12 points.
Triton falls to 1-8 overall and 0-1 in the conference. LaVille moves to 3-3 and 1-0. The Lady Trojans will play again Saturday at Knox, a varsity-only contest which is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. EST.
