Opal R. Epler, 92, formerly of Palestine, passed at 1:35 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw.

She was born Oct. 26, 1924 in Akron to Gordon and Edith (Vandermark) Young.

She was married April 5, 1947 in New Castle to Glen S. Epler, who preceded her Nov. 24, 1993.

Opal had worked at various places which included Big Lots of Warsaw in her later years.

She attended Country Bible Church of North Webster. She collected angels and enjoyed fishing.

She is survived by her sisters: Mary Pike, Rochester; Margaret Yeater, Fenton, Mich.; Frances Ervin, Warsaw.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband and a sister: Doris Ann Young; as well as two brothers: Everett Young and Charles E. Young.

A graveside service is planned to take place at a later date at Palestine Cemetery, Palestine.
