Michael James Niblick, 71, Silver Lake, and formerly of Melrose Park, Ill., passed at 7:35 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Mason Health Care of Warsaw.

He was born Dec. 16, 1944 in Oak Park, Ill. to James F. and Maxine M. (Rogan) Niblick.

He married on July 17, 1981 in Bellwood, Ill. to Shirley Scheiblein, she survives.

He was a process engineer for Borg-Warner of Bellwood, Ill. for over 20 years. He was a graduate York High School in Elmhurst, Ill. He served his country in U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5081 in Bellwood, Ill. as well as the American Legion. He also was President of the Silver Lake Conservation Association. He enjoyed NASCAR and was a big Cubs fan. He loved his wife.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, Silver Lake; his daughters: Martie Niblick; Michelle (Paul) Killian; Valerie Cassidy; and Heather Cassidy; his sons: Ronnie Cassidy and Jimmy Hart; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother: William (Sheila) Niblick, Durango, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Following Michael’s request no services will be held at this time.
