WINONA LAKE – The cancellation of the Bethany Christian Tournament this past weekend prompted Lakeland Christian Academy to fill a void in its boys basketball schedule. Welcome South Bend Trinity.

The Cougars and Titans will meet at LCA on Saturday, Jan. 14 with a JV/Varsity matchup. Tip for the JV will be at 6 p.m., with the varsity game to follow.

The Bethany tournament, which was called due to power outages in and around Waterford Mills, had LCA lose two games, one guaranteed against Bethany Christian and another in the nightcap against Elkhart Christian or South Bend Trinity.

LCA will next play in its home LCA Classic, which begins with pool play on Dec. 29 and continue on Dec. 30. All boys basketball games will be played at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center on the campus of Grace College. LCA’s girls will also host its side of the Classic, with day one games at LCA and day two also at Grace.
