Warsaw Man Arrested For Having Hundreds Of Pornographic Images, Videos Of Minors On His Phones

WARSAW — A Warsaw man arrested in October on charges of sexually assaulting a minor and child molesting, was arrested again after officials found hundreds of pornographic photos and numerous videos of children on his phones.
Nicholas Reed Colquitt, 18, 105 EMS T26 Lane, Warsaw, is being charged with 10 counts of child pornography.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Colquitt was first arrested on Oct. 5, on charges of sexually assault of a minor after Colquitt had brought a minor to his residence and engaged in sexual intercourse.
During the investigation of the sexual assault, officials took Colquitt’s three phones into their possession.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, after the Oct. 5 arrest, Colquitt had been additionally charged with four counts of child molesting a female under the age of 14 after having sexual intercourse with a minor on four different occasions.
On Oct. 10, an officer received cause for search warrant on Colquitt’s three cell phones they had obtained in the investigation.
During the examination of one the phones, an officer found several hyperlinks linking to Dropbox.com. After accessing the hyperlinks listed in the notes, an officer discovered it went to a Dropbox page named “Kiddy Porn Girlies.” On this page listed folders with names such as “Nude Girlies,” “Sexy Girlies,” “Sexy Little Girlies” and “Sex Stash.”
Dropbox.com is a file hosting service that offers cloud storage and file synchronization. Dropbox allows users to create a special folder on their computers which the site then synchronizes so that it appears to be the same folder with the same contents regardless of which device is used to view it. Files placed in this folder are also accessible via the Dropbox website and mobile apps.
None of the folders or files were opened on the phones to preserve records. An officer obtained a search warrant so that they were able to receive account information, login times and content for two of Colquitt’s Dropbox accounts via a USB sent from Dropbox.
On Nov. 18, an officer examined the content of one of Colquitt’s Dropbox accounts and discovered it contained hundreds of photographs and numerous videos that lacked any serious literary, artist, political or scientific value, depicting children clearly under the age of 18, participating in sexual conduct, matter or performance. In addition, the officer observed pictures and videos on the account that depicted children under the age of 18 engaging in bestiality.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, further review also revealed the account contained at least one photograph and at least one video depicting a child under the age of 18 participating in sexual conduct, matter or performance or incident by the use of force, or threat of force. In addition, the officer found at least one video and at least photograph depicting children clearly under the age of 12 participating in sexual conduct, matter or performance.
The account was created in March 29, 2013, and was last logged into on July 14.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers found another on of Colquitt’s Dropbox accounts, contained hundreds of pornographic photographs and videos depicting children under 18, participating in sexual conduct, matter or performance. Material found included children under the age of 12 participating in sexual conduct, matter or performance. An officer observed at least one video that depicted a child under the age of 18 engaging in sexual conduct by force, wherein the child was physically restrained with her arms extended and tied, while she was forcibly and repeatedly raped by an unidentified male.
This account was created on July 18. The account was open in the Dropbox application when the phone was in possession of Colquitt on Oct. 5.
Colquitt was arrested on Dec. 22, on a $250,250 surety and cash bond.
