Soup Supper Planned For Riley Children’s Hospital
SYRACUSE — Wawasee Kiwanis Club is hosting its eighth annual soup supper to benefit Riley Children’s Hospital and several local youth related charities Jan. 27. Registration forms can be found at the Syracuse Community Center or online at www.wawaseekiwanis.org.
Individuals or groups who would like to participate are asked to register by 8 p.m. Jan. 25, by returning the completed form to the Syracuse Community Center or Alexis Mast, soup supper chairperson. Once registered, participants will be asked to prepare 4-5 gallons of the soup of your choice and bring it to the Syracuse Community Center by 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27. Once the soup is dropped off, your work is done.
Kiwanians will serve your soup to the public at the soup supper from 5 to 7 p.m. that night. The public will then vote on their favorite soups in the following categories based on who prepared them: Individual, business, restaurant, and non-profit organization. There will also be an overall winner. The winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event and the winning soup in each category will receive a plaque.
For those who would like to attend the soup supper and taste all of the soups, the cost will be $6 per person. If you have any questions about this event, contact Mast, soup supper chairperson, at (260) 215-7089 or by email at [email protected].
