Martha J. Colbert, 80, Cromwell, passed away at 11:13 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1936 to Edward M. and Norma (Bartholomew) Cornelius.

She graduated from High School in Elkhart and was married Nov. 17, 1967 in Peru to Samuel L. “Sam” Colbert who preceded her on June 4, 2010. She moved to the Syracuse/Cromwell area in 1967 and was formerly employed at McCullough Excavating in Syracuse for 20+ years and Kay’s Next to New Shop in Syracuse.

She was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Syracuse

She is survived by her son, scott Colbert, Cromwell; and three grandchildren: Sofia Elizabeth, Brayden Layne and Jillian Rose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Angela French, and brother, Edward Cornelius.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN.
