NorthWood Basketball: Freshmen Escape Northridge
NAPPANEE – NorthWood’s freshman boys basketball team took a comfortable lead into the second half, only to escape with a 36-35 win Thursday night.
NorthWood led 21-11 at the half, but were outscored by the Raiders 24-15 in the second half, specifically 12-5 in the fourth quarter. Ridge’s rally, however, fell short as NorthWood managed to get the needed points for the win.
Trent Edwards paced the freshman Panthers with 10 points while Brock Flickinger posted eight points and three assists. Josh Stratford also had eight points and four rebounds, Tanner Bunch had six points and Toby Brenner chipped in four points and seven boards for the Panthers.
NorthWood plays again Monday at Tippecanoe Valley.
