WINONA LAKE – The Lakeland Christian Academy boys basketball team used a balanced effort to pick up a win Tuesday night.

A trio of players tallied double figures as the host Cougars topped Granger Christian 48-45.

The duo of Josh McDaniel and Landon Twombly each scored 14 points to pace the winners.

LCA led 12-8 after the opening period and 23-18 at halftime of the contest. The hosts led 37-27 at the end of the third quarter and then held on in the final frame for the win.

Jake Harmon netted 11 points in the win for LCA. Elijah Raymond added six points for the Cougars.

McDaniel led the winners with eight rebounds. Twombly and Raymond each grabbed four rebounds.

LCA, now 6-8, hosts Cornerstone Christian on Jan. 24.
