LCA Basketball: Fancil Fantastic In Victory
WINONA LAKE – Hope Fancil turned in some kind of all-around performance Tuesday night.
The Lakeland Christian Academy ace led her team to a 45-36 win over visiting Granger Christian.
The talented junior poured in a game-high 23 points as the hosts improved to 10-9 on the season. Fancil also had eight rebound to go with seven steals and five blocked shots in the win.
LCA trailed 9-7 after the opening period before taking an 18-15 halftime lead. The hosts outscored Granger Christian 9-1 in the pivotal third quarter.
Melissa Goss also had an outstanding night for the winners with 13 points. Goss also had eight rebounds, six assists and three steals in the win.
Brady Gross had three points and 10 rebounds and Jess Slone two points and 10 caroms for the winners. Anna Reimink had two points and four rebounds and Heather Plastow had two points for LCA.
LCA hosts Traders Point Christian Saturday at 2 p.m.
