Valley Swimming: Neighbors Get Together
AKRON – Another chance to gain experience had Plymouth top Tippecanoe Valley in boys swimming Monday night by a 109-71 count.
Chase Brower and Daniel Alexander led the way for Valley. Brower claimed honors in both the 50 free at 23.12 and the 100 at 54.89. Alexander led off and Brower closed out the winning 200 free relay with Dakota Prater and Jacob Wagner with a time of 1:45.55. Alexander came through with a win in the individual medley at 2:36.42, just ahead of Plymouth’s Cameron Riddle at 2:37.50.
Alex Vancza paced Plymouth with wins in the 200 free (2:04.16) and the 500 free (5:44.66) and helped both the medley relay (2:00.08) and 400 free relay (4:06.31) to victories. Kirk Hetlich also had two wins for Plymouth, winning the butterfly (1:05.34) and the backstroke (1:06.71) while Daniel Stauffer was tops in the breaststroke at 1:17.67.
Justin Moser of Plymouth won diving with a total of 198.45.
Tippecanoe Valley is in action again Wednesday at Maconaquah.
