Warsaw Gymnastics: Knights On Top
WARSAW – East Noble emerged on top of the three-team gymnastics meet Saturday at Warsaw. The Knights scored a 99.95 team score to top both Warsaw (93.875) and Plymouth (89.925).
The Knights nearly swept the top all-around totals, with Alyssa Skiles topping the list at 34.15, using the top beam score at 8.65 and bars score of 8.25. Maddie Foreman had the top floor score of 8.95, which helped her to a 32.85 all-around, and teammate Ciara Honeycutt finished at 32.725, her top score coming in a tie for third on vault at 8.6.
Plymouth’s Kyla Heckaman tied Foreman in the all-around, her totals of 8.05 on bars and 7.95 on beam were both second in the standings.
Warsaw’s Remi Beckham tied Plymouth’s Bailey Eveland on vault at 8.65 to lead all competitors. Beckham was also tied for second on floor at 8.75 with East Noble’s Elizabeth Molen and had Warsaw’s top effort on bars at 7.725. Beckham finished the all-around at 31.275. Daylen Turner led Warsaw with an 8.6 vault and on beam at 7.4. Megan Metzger had an 8.3 on floor.
Warsaw competes Tuesday at Wawasee.
