Bethel Basketball: Kindig, Bley Honored
MISHAWAKA – A pair of Bethel College basketball players and former area high school standouts have been honored as Player of the Week by the Crossroads League.
Bethel senior point guard Nick Kindig was honored on the men’s side of the hardwood. The former Tippecanoe Valley star led the No. 9 Pilots to league wins over No. 3 Saint Francis and No. 15 Taylor. Kindig averaged 21 points and four rebounds in the two wins, while shooting 63.6 percent from the field.
Savannah Bley, a NorthWood High School product, was honored for the Bethel women’s team. Bley led Bethel to one-point wins over both Taylor and Saint Francis in conference play. She averaged 18 points and 9.5 rebounds in the wins, while shooting 17-21 from the field. Bless hit the game-winner against Taylor.
