Terrance L. McDonald
Terrance L. “Terry” McDonald, 72, New Paris, passed away at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at his home.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1944 in Kalamazoo, Mich. to Francis L. and Olive E. (Hunninghake) McDonald.
He was a lifetime Syracuse and New Paris area resident and graduated in 1962 from Syracuse High School. He was married on Aug. 24, 1962 in Syracuse to Vivian Sue “Susie” Rogers, who survives. He formerly worked at Sellers Manufacturing in Milford, Patriot Homes in Elkhart, Bison Coach in Milford, and was the former owner and operator of Shamrock Steel in Goshen.
He was a former member of the Wawasee Kiwanis Club in Syracuse.
He is survived by his wife, Susie; three daughters: Kimberly (Robert) Bradtmiller, Indianapolis, Shauna (Jim) Fought, Topeka; Cathleen (Tim Walker) Krauter, Syracuse; six grandchildren: Amanda, Alyson, Riley, Morgan, Ryan and Devin; one great granddaughter, Emma Belle; three brothers: James “Jim” McDonald, Syracuse; Michael (Linda) McDonald, Florence, Ala.; and Clair McDonald, Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Corey Kneller, sister, Patricia Hall, and brother, Harold McDonald.
Visitation will be from 4–7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home. Private family burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery at a later date.
