AEDs Donated To Etna Green
ETNA GREEN — Fire Chief Randy Byrer presented the Etna Green Council with two donated AEDs at their monthly meeting Tuesday, Feb. 14. The AEDs were donated by Lutheran to the Etna Green Fire Department.
The council discussed the best places to put the units, with the town park building being the first recommendation. The concession stand at the sport field was the second recommendation. These recommendations were approved by the council and the devices will be installed shortly.
In other business:
- The council approved a gold sponsorship for Triton Elementary’s field day.
- Clerk Laura Baker contacted Comcast to get quotes on phone lines. She accepted a deal that will save the city almost 50 percent on their current phone line costs with Frontier.
- Council approved a zoning amendment for George’s Highlander Bar and Grill’s parking lot, 204 E. State St., Etna Green.
- The council approved Umbaugh contracts for water and sewage in the semi annual financial review.
