AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley sixth grade girls basketball ‘A’ team defeated Triton 28-10. Kaydence Mellott paced the winners with nine points. The ‘B’ team from Valley edged Triton 9-7. Four Vikings all had a pair of points, noting Brittany Benn, Emily McGriff, Jessica Brito and Talia Holder.

The Valley wrestling team defeated Triton 56-12. In the varsity match, Valley’s Ethan Sprague, Eric Burke, Branson McBrier, Luis Castillo, Skyler Losher, Braxton Davis, Tyler Nine and Ian Becker all won by pin. Andrew Burke and Uvaldo Gutierrez both earned major decisions. In exhibition matches, Drake Montelongo and Bazle Owens picked up pinfalls, while Dylin Losher won by a decision. Triton did not list its point scorers.
