Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:06 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, East Winona Avenue and South Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Richard C. Bolesky, 85, Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. Bolesky struck a crosswalk signal and a Nipsco utility pole while making a turn. Damages up to $10,000.
5:34 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, Lake City Highway and Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Tracy Howard, 45, East CR 250S, Pierceton, and Sharon E. Berner, 53, EMS R4B1 Lane, Pierceton. The vehicles collided at the intersection. Damages up to $10,000.
6:57 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, Country Club Road, north of Glee Miner Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Geraldine E. Swihart, 60, West Red Bird Lane, Mentone. Driver struck a deer. Damages up to $5,000.
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:57 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, North CR 300E, north of East CR 1300N, Syracuse. Driver: Kim A. Jacquay, 37, County Road 23, New Paris. Driver struck two trees. Driver advised he believed a water bottle had slid under the brake pedal, which prevented him from being able to apply the brakes completely. Damages up to $10,000.
7:11 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, North CR 175E, south of East 8 Square Road, Warsaw. Driver: Danny E. Tenney, 66, East 8 Square Road, Warsaw. Tenney advised that a tree fell on his vehicle while he was northbound on CR 175E. Damages up to $25,000.
