AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley’s middle school wrestling team rallied to beat Rochester 75-39.

After trailing in the meet 30 – 9, the team won 11 out of the final 13 matches to pick up the win. Earning pins for the Vikings were Drake Montelongo, Branson McBrier, Zack Burke, Dylin Losher, Skyler Losher, Joel Cisneros, Braxton Davis, Tyler Nine and Ian Becker. Jacob Bailey won by a decision. Winning exhibition matches were Andrew Burke, Dalton Alber and Bazle Owens.

The sixth grade girls basketball A-Team beat Riverside 29-25. Top scorers were Kaydence Mellott with 14 points and Molly Moriarty with nine points. The B-Team lost to Riverside 10-5. Lydia Miller and Madelyn Weaver each had baskets for the Vikings.
