Roderick Jay “Rod” Goff
Roderick Jay “Rod” Goff, 64, Indianapolis, died at 10:55 pm, Thursday, March 9, at his home in Indianapolis. He was born January 26, 1953, in Wabash, to Jerry and Virginia Louise (Guthrie) Goff.
Rod was a 1971 graduate of Wabash High School. He worked at Lowes in Indianapolis for 20 years. Rod enjoyed gardening, attending theatrical plays and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his father, Jerry Goff, North Webster; partner, Bruce Davis, Indianapolis; two children, Ryan (Nichole) Goff, Shelbyville, Ky., and Kelli (Thomas) Mechelke, Freiburg, Germany; five grandchildren, Wolfsion Goff, River Goff, and Cedar Goff, Shelbyville, Elias Mechelke and Noah Mechelke, Freiburg; and two sisters, Deborah (Jeff) Culver of Wabash, and Sandra (Christian) Carmin, Brownsburg.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Louise Goff.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Jerry Zehr officiating. Friends may call 4-8 .m. Monday, March 13, at the funeral home.
