Grace Basketball: Stage Set For Annual NCCAAs
WINONA LAKE – Grace’s men’s and women’s basketball teams enter the final week of their basketball seasons with one goal in mind: winning a national championship.
The 2017 NCCAA National Basketball Championships come to town, starting Wednesday, providing Grace a chance to hang a banner in front of the home crowd. To win the championship, Grace will need to win three games in four days at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center against stiff competition.
The women’s team was given the No. 6 seed in the eight-team bracket. The Lady Lancers will face No. 3 Emmanuel (Ga.) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
The men’s team is ranked No. 5. Grace will take on No. 4 Central Baptist (Ark.) on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m.
Both teams will play their second game of the tournament on Thursday with the time and opponent to be determined by Wednesday’s outcomes.
