Danny L. “Dan” Hawkins, 54, Bellevue, Wash., formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 4:26 a.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Parkview Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born on Feb. 8, 1963 in Garden City, Mich. to Melvin E. “Mel” and Constance D. “Connie” (Keast) Hawkins.

He graduated in 1981 from Warsaw High School, Purdue University in West Lafayette and received his Master’s Degree. He was employed at Collinear Group in Seattle, Wash. as a Systems Engineer and formerly worked for Collins Aviation in Phoenix, Ariz. and Rockwell Aviation in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up in Warsaw and lived in Des Moines, Iowa, Phoenix, Ariz., and Melbourne, Fla. before moving to Bellevue, Wash. 

He was a very generous man and was deeply loved by his family.

He is survived by his parents, Mel and Connie Hawkins, North Webster; his sister, Sandy Wray, Syracuse; his brother, Melvin “Mel” Hawkins Jr., Columbus; several neices and nephews.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw. No public services will be held at this time. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
