Register today by calling (574) 658-4312 or signing up at the children’s desk.

BUILD WITH LEGO CREW

Encourage children (and their friends) to come to LEGO crew from 10:30 a.m. and noon April 8. Building with LEGOs also allows children to build their imagination and their spatial organization and cognitive skills.
NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK IS COMING
Milford Public Library will join libraries in schools, campuses and communities nationwide in celebrating National Library Week April 9-15. Please bring your child to the library this April to experience all Milford Public Library has to offer. Those who live or own property in Van Buren or East Jefferson Townships are eligible for a Milford Public Library card. If you live in an unserved area, you might consider buying a non-resident library card. The library offers many services, access to computers, programming for all ages, and a safe environment.
WELCOME SPRING WITH THESE MATERIALS
We’ve got what you need for spring. Forget about spring cleaning and begin reading.
Magazines like “Country Gardens”, “Country Living”, “Garden Gate”, and “Midwest Living” are full of tips for spring decorating.
“Present over Perfect” by Shauna Niequist explains how she left a frantic life behind to pursue a simpler way of living. In “The Gratitude Diaries”, the author explains how a year of looking at the bright side can transform your life. Both books can be found in the new nonfiction section.
Young children can learn about spring with picture books like “Hello Spring!” by Shelley Rotner, “Snow Rabbit, Spring Rabbit” by Il Sung Na, and Lois Ehlert’s “Waiting for Wings”.
Fans of Christian fiction will enjoy “A Promise for Spring” by Kim Sawyer and “When Comes the Spring” by Janette Oke. Another great spring novel to enjoy is “A Matter of Character” by Robin Hatcher, which follows the sisters of Bethlehem Springs.
Nora Robert’s “Island of Glass” and “The Whole Town’s Talking” by Fannie Flagg are also both excellent fiction reads for spring.
